SUNDAYS is a series of utilitarian baskets with a distinctive character, merging design and craft. Made from locally harvested cane—an invasive plant traditionally used in southern Portugal for everyday basketry—they highlight the raw beauty of the material.Using traditional techniques, thick, untrimmed cane is shaped and woven into handles that anchor each piece.

Developed in close collaboration with artisan and basket weaver Domingos Vaz, the project took shape during the Plant Based Design residency by Passa Ao Futuro and Made In.
