Edition of low tables
Gallery Bensimon, 2014
Traveling around Japan and immersing into its culture is a strong source of inspiration. Here Christian got fascinated by the ancient art of paper folding.
The collection RAIN consists of four individual side tables. The final shape is characterized by folding a white lined paper two times: One regular and one random fold. The result of this exercise are unexpected shapes that enter into dialogue with the surrounding. The tables are concrete and abstract, silent and delicate, unknown and spontaneous. RAIN is japanese and means LINES.
Tabletop made of ultra thin black compact grade laminate and finished with white coating and milled lines.
Black feet in powder-coated steel.
